Fr Geoff was born and raised in South Africa where he completed two degrees in psychology before beginning a career in human resources management. After almost 20 years he left his career and came to Canada in 2002 to study at Regent College at the call of the Lord. He did a Master of Divinity degree and while still a student began his pastoral ministry at a local Vancouver church. He was ordained for Anglican ministry and planted St. Thomas Mission in 2013 having studied and grown himself into Anglicanism. He is currently pursuing online remote doctoral studies at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. He has been married for more than 37 years and has two grown daughters, one of whom is a graduate of UBC Law School.
Fr Geoff’s journey of faith began at the age of 13 when he encountered Jesus on a church retreat. Through many highs and lows in his walk with God, Fr Geoff has learned to rely on the power and love of the Holy Spirit and to trust that God knows best. He has come to appreciate the wisdom and grace of God as revealed in His Holy Word, and in the midst of some very difficult trials and struggles he has learned through practical experience that God can be trusted in all things.
